Golden Valley Christian Church

A grandfather overheard his little granddaughter reciting the alphabet in what sounded like a prayerful manner. He went to her and asked what she was doing, and she said that she was talking to God. She explained that she didn't know the right words to say, so she was saying all the letters, then God would put them together because He knew what she was thinking. Last Sunday was a great day, starting with the wonderful rain we received. Many of our attendees responded when asked how they had been blessed during the past week. Congratulations to Bro. Tim and his wife, Georgia, at the birth of their seventh grandchild, a little girl, named Emry Jo. We praise God and give Him our thanks for so many blessings.

Bro. Tim's message answered the question, "What can we know? (about Jesus)," with scripture from 1 John 1:1-4: 1) He was from the beginning and 2) Jesus was real. John tells us Jesus is the Word, and He was with God from the very beginning, even before the creation. Jesus was sent to Earth to be born as a human, so that people would know more about God. John also knew Jesus was real because he himself had seen, touched, and talked with Jesus. This was a factual testimony by one who knew Jesus as man and as the son of God.
