"He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.  He bestows rain on the earth; he sends water upon the countryside." (Job 5:9)  We are all so grateful for the wonderful rain we received last Sunday.  Praise God!

For the third time in the month of June, we have been saddened by the death of a loved one from the family of one of our church family.  Last week, Beverly Brown's dearly beloved cousin died suddenly.  This dear soul was a devout Christian, loved by all that knew him.  He was in good health when, without warning, death occurred.  The sudden death of this dear gentleman is an example to the rest of us that we do not know when our time on earth will end.  Therefore, it is imperative that we be ready, whether our time is in the far future, or maybe even today.  The Golden Valley Christian Church sends sincere condolences to Beverly and her family.

"The 3 Ups" was the title of Bro. Tim's message, taken from Romans 13:11-14.  In this passage, the apostle Paul was admonishing people to wake up, clean up, and grow up.  We are cautioned that the hour of salvation is near.  Ungodly things are to be done away with, and we are to grow in our spiritual relation with our Lord Jesus.  There is very little difference between the people today and the Roman people of Paul's day.  With Jesus' help, we can be the people God wants us to be.
