            The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself.  This may be one of the hardest commandments to keep, yet when practiced, it may be one of the most rewarding.  After answering the question of the greatest commandment, Jesus followed that statement with a parable.  There was always a reason for each of Jesus' teachings and parables.  It is up to us to find that reason and live by it.

 

            The Golden Valley Christian Church building has once again been improved with two beautiful stained glass windows at the front door entrance, each depicting an angel holding a dove.  Judy Harris donated the windows in memory of her late husband, Jerry Harris, who was dearly loved by all.

 

            Bro. Tim's message was entitled, "Why Membership?"  Although the Bible does not use the word "membership," we know from Acts 2:41-47, the early Christians gathered in small groups for teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.  The members of these groups continued the formation of what has grown into the churches that we know today.

 

            The Bible challenge question: What warning did the Prophet Agabus give to the Apostle Paul? (Acts 21:10-11)
