Golden Valley Christian Church

April is a truly busy month at Golden Valley Christian Church.  Last Saturday, our church held a “Spring Cleaning” day.  Work was done all the way from weeding the flower beds, to washing the windows inside and out.  Some much-needed plumbing was also accomplished by some of our dedicated men.  Altogether, there were eleven willing church family members who accomplished so much.  From those of us unable to help, we give a tremendous “thank you” to those who did.  The GVCC congregation is preparing to celebrate the most sacred holiday of the year, Easter.  There will be no Bible Study classes on Easter Sunday; an egg hunt will be provided for the children at 9:45 AM, and morning worship will be held at the regular time of 10:30 AM.  Time is rapidly coming for the revival at GVCC, April 23-25.  Also, the ladies’ Bible study takes place on Wednesday nights at 7 PM.  You are welcome at any of these events.

During our morning service last Sunday, Bob Fenwick blessed us with a beautiful, heartfelt song, “Calvary’s The Reason Why.”  Bob is also the bass member of our quartet, which will be bringing a special on Easter Sunday.  Still in anticipation of our coming revival, Bro. Tim’s message reminded us of the revival that should take place in each one of us.  Scripture from 1 Peter 2:1-3 tells how we should grow in our spiritual lives.  In the book of Matthew, Jesus condemns the Pharisees and teachers of the law for their outrageous conduct.  He was not afraid to call out the powerful of that day for their character.  We should spend some time each day in Bible reading and prayer.

Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM; morning worship is at 10:30.  Our minister is Tim Randall (office phone #660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
