Recently, the History Channel showed a film called "The Bible."  These films generally take great liberty in telling the true facts of the Bible, as many, who are knowledgeable of the Holy Book, recognize.  However, when the story of Jesus' crucifixion took place, the scenes seemed vivid and real.  Watching the scenes gave a sense of being there and knowing, without a doubt, there was a horrible price paid for our salvation.  We know our Father in Heaven was sad watching his Son suffer, so that his earthly children might have salvation.  As you go to church this Sunday, remember to keep in mind the terrible suffering Jesus went through, that we might have eternity in Heaven.

Bible studies on I John are going extremely well, and there will be a women's study group starting in April.  The Lord is leading us in ways to better know Him.  Praise our God!

Bro. Tim's message Sunday, taken from I John 5:13-21, was entitled "What We Know."  Bro. Tim pointed out that we know we can have full confidence in our eternal life, that God hears our prayers, that we have victory over sin, that we belong to God as His children, and that Christ is the true eternal God.  Each of these points was emphasized with many scriptures, showing their validity.  We know God's words and promises are true and everlasting.

The Bible challenge question is:  "Why did Noah put a curse on Ham's son, Canaan?'"  (Genesis 9:20-27)
