When is a lie a lie? Is a little white lie a bad thing? If we are truthful, all of us have told a lie or two in our lifetime. Children, especially, are notorious at telling lies and certainly need to be taught the consequences of telling untruths. But should we always be brutally honest about telling the truth? Does God expect us to devastate another person by a truthful statement that causes hurtful, deep pain? These are thoughts that many people struggle with. Of course, God does not want us to lie, and there are lies that need to be exposed. However, God alone knows the hearts of people and the situation they are in. Our job is to uplift our fellow citizen, and be honest in expressing our hopes for the well-being of that person.

Bro. Tim's message, from Ephesians 6:10-18, was about protecting ourselves. In this scripture, Paul says to "put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." As Bro. Tim summarized, we have an adversary (Satan), but God has given us the armor, and we must remain alert; victory is on the Lord's side.
