Did you know Jesus is never referred to as "The Great Physician" in the Bible.  One of the most prominent passages in the Bible concerning doctors (physicians) is found in three of the Gospels.  ". . . Jesus said, 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.'" (Luke 5:31) The point Jesus was making to His critics was that He had not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.  There are many passages of Jesus healing different maladies, such as the blind, the crippled, and leprosy.  Although the Bible does not refer to Jesus as "The Great Physician," all Christians know He certainly qualifies for that title.

In our worship service, Jacob Lamb played a beautiful flute solo, accompanied by Marla Jones on the piano. Bro. Tim's message focused on the demise of the Northern Kingdom, Israel.  Israel never had a good king, and because of this, the people plunged deeper and deeper in sin, with idol worship as their main sin. Finally, even our patient God had enough, and the nation fell.  They became known as the "lost tribes of Israel," because the people were so scattered, they were never heard from again.  God will not be mocked by any kind of idol (such as an image made by man, activities, or material things) that comes before Him.  The Kingdom of Israel found this out the hard way.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What lady in Joppa did the Apostle Peter bring back to life?'"  (Acts 9:36)
