A recent study in a "Character Quiz" posed these two questions, among many others:  1) If you found a wallet with $1,000 in it, would you keep it if nobody found you out?  2) Would you count it a privilege to live with someone like yourself the rest of your life?  The first question deals with your honesty, and the second one deals with your personality and behavior.  You may have to look deeply within yourself to honestly know the answers.  Remember, God already knows!

Despite the icy roads, the Golden Valley Christian Church held services Sunday, and a number of our faithful were able to attend.  Bro. Tim's message came from 2 Timothy 1:1-10, where the Apostle Paul is encouraging his apprentice, Timothy, to remain faithful to God's vision for him and all believers.  God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline to live and proclaim God's grace which was given to us in our Savior, Jesus Christ, who destroyed death and brought life eternal.  The vision of spiritually maturing followers is demonstrated in worship, prayer, service, nurturing, and outreach of the Gospel.  Sometimes we have to move out of our comfort zone to grow toward spiritual maturity, striving to demonstrate a holy life that God has called us to live.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What were Jesus' instructions to the twelve who were sent out to teach?'"  (Mark 6:8-11)
