Golden Valley Christian Church

Last Sunday morning was not a nice weather day, by any means, but it did not keep the people from gathering for services at the Golden Valley Christian Church.  While attendance was down somewhat, we were very blessed by the number of people who braved the icy roads to attend church services.  Upon arrival that morning, we found some of our men cheerfully keeping the second of the greatest commandments (Mark 12:31), scooping a much appreciated path in the parking lot, and treating the sidewalks and ramps, to help people get into the church building safely.

The renovation of the vestibule is almost finished.  New interior doors have been installed in both entrances of the sanctuary.  The new carpet should be in place for this Sunday's service.  So the front door will once again be available for entry.  It seems like a long time that our building has been in this process, but the end results will certainly be worth the wait.

All of us know that darkness hides what would be visible in the light.  Referring to Ephesians 5:13-20, Bro. Tim pointed out that it behooves each of us to understand God's will, living our lives so that each word and act can be exposed in the light, and not be hidden in the darkness.
