Golden Valley Christian Church

Calvin Coolidge, thirtieth President of the United States, also known as Silent Cal, had this story told about him:  A reporter tried to interview the President, asking if he had anything to say about various subjects.  The answer to each question was a simple "no."  As the reporter ended the interview and prepared to leave, President Coolidge said to him, "Don't quote me."  This may bring a chuckle, but read Proverbs 10:19.  Enough said!

What a delight to see Ben Dody featured in the Daily Democrat newspaper last week.  Ben is an active member of the Golden Valley Christian Church, a devout Christian, and an all-around nice person.  What a wonderful, interesting, and patriotic life you have lived, Ben.  Well done!

For our special music Sunday, Ken Jones blessed us with an old-time favorite, "This World is Not My Home."  Ken also does a great job as our worship leader.  Proverbs 29:18a was the scripture Bro. Tim used for the message.  He used Bible people as examples of having visions, such as Moses, with the ability to see ahead, Abraham, with the faith to believe, and David, with the courage to do what was right.  Each of these men had the vision, courage, and belief to do what God asked of them.  These men were stalwarts of God and perfect examples for us.

The Bible challenge question is:  "Who was Agabus and what did he say to Paul?'"  (Acts 21:10-11)
