Golden Valley Christian Church

The last Christmas event GVCC will observe this year is our Christmas Eve Communion Service on Thursday evening, at 6:00 PM.  All friends and relatives are cordially invited.

Our young people were busy before our morning service last Sunday, handing out little candies, wrapped in the shape of the Bible, as a reminder of the "sweet story" of Jesus' birth; their Sunday School teacher, Georgia Randall had supervised this activity. In Children's Church, the children made Christmas tree ornaments, and distributed them at the end of the service.  Melynne Jones, Anna Tucker, and Abby and Chris Rush are the Children's Church workers, and we are thankful for their dedication.

Cheri and Victoria Gregory lit our fourth advent candle.  Chris Tucker brought our morning prayer, and Ken Jones shared a communion meditation.  Bro. Tim's message was entitled "Seeing Clearly," with scripture from Luke 2:25-32.  This season of goodwill and love is such a strong message to all believers.  We were happy to welcome a number of guests and invite them back to our future services.

The Bible challenge question:  What did the shepherds do after seeing the newborn Jesus? (Luke 2:17-18)

Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM; morning worship is at 10:30.  Our minister is Tim Randall (office phone #660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
