Golden Valley Christian Church

Proverbs 15 tells us "a happy heart makes the face cheerful."  It was a cold day, but there were many happy hearts and cheerful faces at the Golden Valley Christian Church this past Sunday.  We welcomed Teen Challenge of the Ozarks, a program to help teens and adults to overcome some very bad problems, from abuse to addiction.  We were blessed to host seven young women who have faced and overcome, with God's help, some very sad circumstances; their stories of victim to recovery were sad, but heartwarming.  There are over two hundred of these programs in the United States, and over one thousand world-wide.  After the service came a period of fellowship and a carry-in meal of soup beans and cornbread, several different kinds of soups, sandwiches, and a tableful of desserts.  It was truly a day to make happy hearts and cheerful faces.

Please note:  The front entrance of our building is currently undergoing renovation, so for the next few Sundays, the front door may be inaccessible.  In the meantime, please enter through the left door on the north side of the building.
