Golden Valley Christian Church

What makes a good-reading article? Why are some articles read word-for-word, and others simply skimmed over? One journalism teacher taught her students that the opening paragraph is the key to this question, to "grab the reader's attention." The first sentence in the Bible does this very thing: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." All of us have a natural curiosity of "where did the earth come from, how did humans get here, what is going to happen at death, and what does Jesus have to do with it?" Sharing these truths is the "Good News" of the church, not the activities that people engage in. Activities are good, but certainly not the "Good News."

Bro. Tim's message, entitled "The Deacon," was taken from First Timothy 3:8-13.

The Bible challenge question: Who were the men selected to care for the widows? (Acts 6:5)
