Golden Valley Christian Church

We observe two holidays in November. Veterans Day is a memorial to those who have served our nation militarily, and Thanksgiving Day is a time to be thankful for our many blessings. The church also has a memorial that we, at GVCC, observe every Sunday. There are different names attached to it, but we refer to it as "The Lord's Supper." It is not only a time of memorial, "do this in remembrance of me" (Luke 22:19), but also, a time of thanksgiving for what Jesus has done for us. We can never repay the debt we owe Him, but we can certainly remember, with our heartfelt thanks.

The ladies weekly Bible study is cancelled until after the holidays. Our children's Christmas program will be December 6th, at 10:30 AM. On December 13th, we will have an afternoon family Christmas tea and caroling event. Bro. Tim's message was entitled "The Future of Missions," with scripture from Acts 1:6-11.

The Bible challenge question: When Jesus talked about the second coming, what woman from the Old Testament did He refer to? (Luke 17:31-32)

Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton. Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM; morning worship is at 10:30.
