How would you react if someone told you that you were going to have $1,440 deposited into your bank account every day, and you could spend it as you pleased?  That would be terrific, wouldn’t it?  To put that in perspective, do you realize, you are given 1,440 minutes every day, also up to you, how you spend them?  These minutes are as valuable as dollars, but will not last, and cannot be saved up.  How you use these minutes will determine what will happen to you in eternity, making them more valuable than dollars.  Hopefully, each one of us will grow in wisdom, love, and service, and use these 1,440 minutes as our Savior has commanded.  (John 14:1-7)

October 9th, at 6:00 PM, will be the next youth group meeting, with a “Color Fight;” youth, grades 6-12, need to wear white to this fun and learning night.  Also, that evening at the same time, Phil Marley, from CCCB, will be here to help us with personal financial planning; it’s never too early to prepare for the future.  October 18th, at 6:00 PM, a new, 5-week women’s Bible study will begin, entitled “Amen: From Eden to Eternity.”  Our Wednesday evening Bible study continues on the Chronological Life of Christ, at 7:00 PM.

A guest speaker, Chris Ruhnke, from Show-Me Christian Youth Home, LaMonte, Missouri, filled our pulpit last Sunday.  Bro Ruhnke brought us up to date on the activities and well-being of the home.  Show-Me takes in many abused, neglected children, giving them a home with house parents, who make sure they are loved, well-cared for, educated, and taught about Jesus.  His message focused on love and how this makes the world we live in a much better place.  Jesus stresses this word, “love,” and the action that accompanies it.  This would be a sad, unhappy place without love.  (Matt 22:1-4; 15)
