When Mother Teresa received her Nobel Prize, she was asked, "What can we do to promote world peace?"  She replied, "Go home and love your family."  As individuals, we cannot do much about nations seeking world peace, but if every person in this world would love each other, we would automatically have peace.  That is such a simple answer, if it were only practiced.

Golden Valley Christian Church is now having home Bible studies at our minister's home on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, where everyone is welcome.  Saturday, October 20th, we will be having a wiener roast at the church at 6:00 PM.  The hot dogs and drinks will be provided, but bring your lawn chairs.

Bro. Tim's morning message was focused on the Parable of the Rich Fool, whose plan was to tear down his barn and build a new one to accommodate the great harvest he had.  There are a number of important points in this parable.  The man did not give God the credit for the harvest; he did not think of sharing what he had, and he was storing his treasure in the wrong place.  Our earthly riches do us no good when death encircles us, only the treasures we have laid up in heaven.

The Bible challenge question is:  "In what city were the disciples first called Christians?"  (Acts 11:26)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
