Do you know who Nisroch was?  When Sennacherib, the King of Assyria, tried to overrun the nation of Judah, God sent an angel to the Assyrian Camp and put to death one hundred eighty-five thousand men.  King Sennacherib withdrew his remaining army and returned to Nineva.  He was in his temple worshipping the "idol god," Nisroch, when two of his sons entered and killed him (II Kings 19:35-37).  This goes to show you what one angel and the worship of idols can do for you!  Today, we still have angels, and we still have "idols."

Bro. Tim's message last Sunday focused on angels.  Who are angels?  Thirty-four books in the Bible make reference to them.  We know they are messengers of God who serve God and, by God's command, serve mankind.  Their number is unknown; the Bible uses terms like "legions" and "multitudes."  We know we have guardian angels (Matt 18:10).  Praise God, who takes care of us in ways we will never know, while on this earth.

Sunday evening we had a fellowship meal in conjunction with our Share and Care time.  It was truly a great evening for all attending.  Our thanks go to the committees who so graciously give of their time and energy to make these events so enjoyable.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What was Abraham's original name, and who changed it?"  (Gen 17:3-5)
