Golden Valley Christian Church

Rain did not keep the family of the Golden Valley Christian Church from gathering and worshiping their Lord last Sunday!  The beautiful bouquet in our sanctuary was in honor of the 45th wedding anniversary of Judy and Jerry Harris; our congratulations and love go to this faithful couple.  Olivia, Abigail, and Garrett Plesinger, grandchildren of Ron and JoAnn Snider, provided the music for our morning worship.  Olivia played the piano, while Abigail accompanied her on the violin; Olivia and Garrett played a piano duet.  It was joy to listen to these very talented young people.

Bro. Tim's message was about the church's responsibility to spread the gospel through our missions.  Our awesome God had a mission when he promised, and then provided, a Savior for all believers; His love is infinite and everlasting.  The goal of the church is to imitate God in these endeavors.  Major religions in the world tell us what we must do to be saved.  Our Bible tells us what Jesus did for us, that we might be saved through our belief in Him.  It is hard for non-believers to accept the fact that salvation can be that simple.  (John 3:16)

The Bible challenge question is:  "What was the message Hezekiah sent to Isaiah?" (II Kings 19:1-4)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street.  Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Evening service is at 6 PM.  This Sunday night, we will be watching the first of a four-part, Tony Evans video series.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
